One of the bigger trends in receptions is to display pictures and videos of the happy couple. Typically, these are a variety of different photos, ranging from those of the bride and groom as children, through their childhood, into their dating relationship and up to the wedding. They are typically in a slideshow format and set to music, and most often they are projected onto a large screen through a high-tech (and expensive) projector.

When my husband’s cousin got married, we were working with a very limited budget. But, with an evening ceremony, we knew that we wanted the reception to be a bit more elegant and reflect the ambiance of the evening. So, we created wonderful candle-lit centerpieces from recycled materials.
