How To Bid Summer Farewell

Don’t panic; there is still almost a full month of summer vacation left. It’s also enough time to plan a glorious end of summer gathering as a way to bid summer farewell and get ready for the new school year.

Endings are always so bittersweet. The kids are usually sad that vacation is over, but once they get bored, they’re excited to see what the new school year will bring. Check out these amazing and delicious ideas that really fit the bill for the occasion!:

1. Watermelon-Shaped cookies (hint: two words: food coloring!!)

2. Fruit Kabobs

Don’t these look refreshing and great for a hot summer day? You can customize your own with your favorite fruits, of course. (Tip: Bulk Food Picks)

3. Watermelon-shell Drink Dispenser (the spout is genius)

I love this idea so much it hurts. You can fill the watermelon shell with punch or watermelon juice. It adds such a fun touch to the table decor and for clean-up, you just have to worry about removing your spout and trashing your disposable plastic cups!

Can you tell I’ve recently been trolling the wonderful Pinterest?! It’s seriously a magical little nook in the interwebs; please hang out with us or “follow” us for our favorite party tricks, pictures and ideas!

Enjoy your last 3 weeks of summer vacation, kiddos!

  1. I love, love, love the watermelon shell drink dispenser. I must say though it is probably a really good thing that we never thought of that back in our college days. I’m actually shocked that no one did as some of the gang got pretty creative with watermelons and beverages.

Back to the topic at hand. I am really impressed with this website, products and ideas offered. I stumbled upon the advertisement on Facebook and being totally addicted to anything paper, I had to check it out. I am now your new greatest fan and will make a point of ordering from this website instead of going to a local store.

Thanks for your ideas and I look forward to more ideas and products in the future.

  2. Thank you so much, Suzie! Feel free to share your event pictures with us on Facebook & we’ll make sure to share with other fans! Happy shopping!
