Looking for a fun game to play at your upcoming bridal shower? Read on!
Bridal showers can be really enjoyable to plan, from the fun, bright pink decorations, to the amazing and thoughtful gifts that are put together by your family and friends. However, while you may have your color scheme picked out and your table decorations ordered, there is still the task of choosing what to do once everyone at arrives at your shower!
One trend that has become very popular for bridal showers in the last few years is playing games as a way to entertain your guests and have some fun at your shower. Some games are designed as a way to get to know the bride and groom better or learn more about them as a couple, while others act as a fun way to give everyday housewarming gifts to future brides in a unique, creative way.
Items On The Apron
When it comes to registering for a bridal shower, many brides often pick items that they need for their home or for their kitchen. However, while some kitchen supplies are definitely exciting to receive, there are also the not-so-thrilling essentials that every future bride and groom need—sponges, a whisk, measuring spoons, etc. Luckily, there is a fun way to dress up these every day gifts in a way that is fun for the bride and the guests!
Simply find a cute apron that you already have, or purchase a new one just for the occasion. (Something white and lacy would be very appropriate for a future bride!) Next, gather 25-30 average kitchen items—a baster, thermometer, measuring cup, stirring spoon, etc.—and pin them all over the apron. Next, have the bride-to-be put on the apron full of kitchen items and circle the room in front of the shower guests for 60 seconds, walking slowly and spinning so every guest can see all of the items. Next, have the bride go in the next room and have the guests write down as many items from the apron as they can recall from memory—it’s harder than you think! Whichever guest comes the closest wins a prize, and the bride gets to take home the apron!
He Said / She Said
One of the best parts of a bridal shower is that it gives the future couple a chance to share their story with their friends and their family. Therefore, why not turn your romantic story into a fun game for your guests? For instance, print out a list of things both you and your groom-to-be have learned about each other over the years, and have guests write down who they think best fits the description.
Here are just a few examples of he said/she said statements you could test your guests on:
- Who made the first move?
- Who wants more kids?
- Who takes longer to get ready?
- Who is the more romantic one?
- Who is the better cook?
You will most likely pull some funny stories and heartfelt memories from these answers that you will then get to share with your guests!
