How To Set Up a Patriotic Event

Memorial Day was designated a holiday to honor our past and current soldiers. These men and women serve our country every day to ensure that we continue to enjoy the freedoms we can easily take for granted sometimes. My family and I usually barbecue at home or try to make it to a local parade or patriotic theme fair. How do you celebrate this important holiday?

Unless your event is uber formal, you can really get away with classic food, like hot dogs, burgers, kabobs, or any standard BBQ food. Cold beer, punch, lemonade and/or water are the perfect drinks for enduring the warmer weather that creeps up on us starting at about now.

If you have old glass beverage bottles in any color, but preferably red or blue, you can clean them to use as table decor (as shown in the picture. You can display these with one or two long-stemmed flowers inside or with patriotic theme foil spray decorations.

I know I’ve showed you examples of cater wraps before, but how great are these?:

CC030_Freedom_Foundation_2I’m so in love with our new patriotic paper treat cups. They make desserts and other treats look so inviting. The fact that they coordinate is obviously a major plus. Fill these treat cups with a scoop of ice cream and fruit toppings. So refreshing in this humid weather! You can display them perfectly on Patriotic Theme Serving Trays.
