Ring in the New Year!

The end of the year is fast approaching. It is difficult to believe this is the end of this decade. I still remember New Years 2000 when everyone was freaking out about Y2K. Look at us now…we really do practically have chips built into our ears (e.g. Bluetooth, I swear some people never take theirs off!)

This year has definitely been an eventful one, in both positive and negative aspects:

1.    a massive earthquake struck both Haiti and Chile and brought millions of people together for humane causes

2.    South Africa became the first African nation to host the FIFA World Cup

3.    Apple unveiled the iPad and sent nerds on a tech inspired frenzy

4.    the world was never more interested in golf than when the Tiger Woods scandal made headlines

5.    the TSA installed full body scanners

6.    the first full face transplant was completed

7.    Obama signed health care into law

Take a minute to begin putting together your resolutions for the New Year and really reflect upon the major events in your life for 2010. Chaotic natural disasters that destroyed peoples’ lives and families this year should definitely put into perspective how blessed we truly are.

Let’s keep the current party-at-home trend going and surround ourselves with our friends and family in order to welcome the new year together. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the holiday than the way we would like things to be throughout the year.

Pull out your Sunday’s best, white Linens (or Linen-Like), the wine glasses, and festive New Years Tableware for a memorable evening.
